Sweat Heart Winery, located on the West end of Loveland, CO off Highway 34, opened last year and has quickly become a go-to destination for wine tasting, weekly events, and weddings. You can’t miss it as you drive towards the mountains on Highway 34. It is a unique venue, surrounded by the natural, breathtaking beauty of Northern Colorado. Situated alongside the Big Thompson River, the winery balances a rugged Colorado vibe with an unmistakable elegance—offering an exquisite event setting to fulfill your specific vision.

Events

With their relaxed yet refined tasting room and a magnificently distinct barrel room, Sweet Heart Winery can accommodate small ceremonies as well as large weddings of up to 200 guests.

Vaulted timbers, towering handcrafted barn doors, and aging barrels of red wine adorn the interior of our event venue. They lend character-filled romance to your special day.

Outside, iconic Colorado views of the Rocky Mountains and Devil’s Backbone span the horizon. Twenty acres of open space and the steady rush of the river enfold your event in natural beauty.

Tasting Room

The Tasting Room at the Winery is open to the public seven days a week. Colorado natives and out-of-town travelers alike can sip and savor a flight of their standout wines in a ruggedly beautiful riverside setting at the base of the Rocky Mountains.

Experience unique aromas, flavors, and finishes. Then put their wine know-how to the test, find your favorites, and walk away with a bottle (or a few!) to enjoy with the people you love. And before you head out, take in the steady sounds of the river and majestic mountain views that make our distinctly Colorado location so special.

The Tasting Room Hours are Monday-Sunday from 12pm-8pm.

Reds

2011 Russian River Valley Syrah

Savory aromatics of smoky oak, coffee, vanilla, and old leather transition to multiple depths of flavors—including fresh plum, blackberry, orange peel, and white pepper. Lush and complex, this Syrah shows its oak aging well.

2012 Russian River Valley Cabernet Franc

Rich aromatics of ripe blackberry, licorice, and earthiness set the table for a deep and complex mouth experience with supple smooth tannins and notes of dried currant, mocha, plum, and baking spices in the lingering smooth finish.

2013 Lodi Cabernet Sauvignon

Pleasantly intense, but not weighted down by drying tannins, their Lodi Cabernet Sauvignon expresses a fruit-forward sensation of sweet berries laced with slightly smoky, tobacco-like notes and a rounded, almost chocolaty texture.

2014 Yolo County Zinfandel

With bold body and complexity, their Zin delights with jammy flavors reminiscent of plum and cranberry, plus a hint of licorice followed by a slightly peppery finish.

2014 Yolo County Tempranillo

Tempranillo is a thick-skinned red grape with moderate tannins, which results in an easy drinking but nicely complex red wine. Aged in American oak, their Tempranillo expresses notes of cherry, dried figs, and vanilla with a bright, fruity aroma. Because of its relatively neutral flavor profile, Tempranillo pairs well with almost any food.

2014 Yolo County Malbec

Malbec is a very dark, almost black-skinned grape that produces deep-colored, rich wines. Their Yolo county Malbec grapes deliver freshness, balanced acidity, and round, supple textures with flavors of plum and blackberry.

2014 Yolo County Petit Sirah

Their Petit Sirah greets you with a dark purple color and a mild aroma of smoky tobacco. On the pallet, flavors of black pepper and dried cherries deliver an intense but pleasant mouthfeel with a long, lingering finish.

Whites

2015 Yolo Sauvignon Blanc

Their Sauvignon Blanc greets your nose with aromas of spring grass and wildflower. On the pallet, subtle notes of lime and passion fruit combine with a clean, fresh mouthfeel to yield a super refreshing wine experience.

2016 California Chardonnay

Their unoaked Chardonnay from the central coast of California has a subtle earthy aroma with complex notes of both citrus and tropical fruits. Lemon and mango come through with a full mouthfeel and a long, clean finish.

2016 California Rose

Their Grenache-based Rose has a ruby-red hue and a fresh aroma of clean mountain air. It delivers luscious flavors of ripe strawberry and blood oranges with a slight hint of allspice.

2016 California Viognier

Viognier is a full-bodied white wine originating from the South of France. Their Viognier yields a delightfully floral bouquet and thick mouthfeel with notes of tangy tangerine, peach, and vanilla.
